We settle into our idyllic Australian surroundings of Byron Bay with some poolside vibes, open decks for anyone to jump on and get some early practise in before the learning programme begins.

Check into your accommodation anytime from 3pm and get to know the Orbit Team, retreat mentors and the other Orbit attendees.

Plus an introduction to the 5 day learning program from Orbit co-founder Doorly.

You'll be paired with a collaborator based on your current skill level and, where relevant, your preferred production software. This duo will be your creative partner throughout the retreat, setting the stage for meaningful collaboration and growth.

After fueling up with a nutritious breakfast, you and your new partner will dive into a powerful rotation of intensive workshops led by our exceptional Orbit mentors. These sessions are designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate your skills.

Following a delicious lunch, the afternoon kicks off with an exclusive industry insights talk from one of our renowned guest mentors—perfect for expanding your knowledge and connections. Then, it's back to your pair as you continue exploring workshops focused on DJ techniques, production mastery, and personal development.

We round off each incredible day with an optional guided meditation and breathwork session, helping you reset, recharge, and find your inner zen. It’s the perfect way to balance the energy and creativity of the day.

On the second day of your learning journey, you’ll dive deeper into leveling up your skills alongside your collaboration partner, whose pairing is tailored to your current expertise and production preferences. Together, you'll tackle an intensive rotation of workshops guided by an extraordinary lineup of mentors from Australia and across the globe. These mentors bring cutting-edge insights and decades of experience to propel your growth in DJing, music production, and personal artistry.

The day also features an inspiring industry insights talk led by a special guest mentor, offering exclusive strategies and stories from the forefront of the electronic music scene. The afternoon resumes with your partner, as you continue developing your DJ techniques, refining production workflows, and exploring personal development in dynamic sessions designed to push your creative boundaries.

We kickstart the day with an invigorating yoga session, setting a balanced and energized tone for an advanced day of creativity and learning. Building on the momentum from the previous sessions, you’ll dive deeper into specialized workshops led by world-class mentors and equipment experts.

Explore advanced DJ techniques using the latest Pioneer (AlphaTheta) hardware, mastering its full potential to elevate your performances. 

Meanwhile, production workshops focus on refining your skills with your chosen software, guiding you through creating tracks, samples, and original edits tailored for your live performance on the retreat’s final day.As your artist profile takes shape, you’ll start crafting a clear vision for your career path, inspired by insights from industry leaders.

Performance day is here—a culmination of your hard work, creativity, and growth throughout the retreat! The day begins with an optional yoga session, offering a moment of calm and focus before stepping into a full schedule of live DJ sets.

This is your chance to showcase everything you’ve achieved: refined technical DJ skills, new samples, acapellas, and perhaps even an original track or edit you’ve crafted during the retreat. With mentors and peers cheering you on, this is a celebration of your artistic evolution.

We wrap up the retreat with an unforgettable party at a stunning secret location—a fitting finale to an incredible journey of music, collaboration, and discovery. This is more than a performance; it’s a celebration of your artistry and the vibrant connections you’ve made

As the retreat comes to a close, we part ways feeling empowered by the knowledge gained, the skills sharpened, and the incredible connections forged along the way. After packing up your equipment and checking out at 11 a.m., the Orbit journey doesn't end here.
